Michael Snider

-Michael Snider- is a missionary from Calvary Chapel of Richmond laboring to bring the Gospel to Japan. He lives outside Tokyo and serves at Calvary Chapel of Tokorozawa. His desire is to stay as long as he can in Japan, where he believes the Lord has given him a desire for the Japanese people and culture.

Michael teaches English classes to elementary children to support himself financially. They meet at the church building after their regular school hours, however the learning process is slow because the different age groups meet with him for only an hour a week. The kids are learning the English language from sources like the Bible, a key to reach the country where Christians are a super minority. 95% of the population do not know the Lord.

When the church does evangelistic outreaches at train stations, most of the older Japanese citizens fail to see the relevance of their need for God in everyday life. According to Michael, results don’t come easy, so prayer for encouragement is an ongoing request.

Michael has learned that when living in a country with so few Chritians, Christian fellowship is a precious commodity and should never be taken for granted.

Please pray for ongoing opportunities for Michael to minister to the Japanese people, and for the ongoing English teaching ministry to the elementary kids.
